There was pandemonium at the National Assembly on Tuesday when protesters, under the aegis of the Coalition of Civil Society Organisations

The demonstrators, under the banner of the Coalition of Civil Society Organisations, said allegations of sexual harassment, human rights violations and victimisation against Fasina are currently before competent courts and should be resolved before any confirmation process proceeds.

The protesters said the nominee, Abayomi Fasina, a former vice chancellor of the FUOYE, has a pending case in court over alleged sexually harassment of a former colleague at the university, Folasade Adebayo, an engineer and former deputy director at the institution.
