Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Quad leaders summit, hosted by US President Joe Biden on September 21 in Delaware, alongside leaders from Australia and Japan. The summit aims to strengthen alliances in the Indo-Pacific region, focusing on countering China's influence, maritime security, and emerging technologies.

New initiatives to boost cooperation to ensure stability in the Indo-Pacific, ways to find peaceful solutions to the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza and addressing concerns of the global South will be the focus of PM Modi's three-day US visit.

The prime minister's first destination will be Wilmington, the hometown of Biden where he will join the US president, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida at the Quad summit on September 21. Modi will hold separate bilateral talks with the trio.

PM Modi will begin his three-day visit to the US by attending the Quad Summit hosted by Biden in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday. He will also address an Indian diaspora event and attend the UN Summit of the Future on Monday.
