Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has been questioned by the Karnataka Lokayukta in this case, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing by him or his family.

ED initiated an investigation based on an FIR registered by the Lokayuktha Police Mysore under various sections of IPC, 1860 and Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against Siddaramaiah and others, who is the incumbent Chief Minister of Karnataka.
