Enugu youths and leaders rejected NDC aspirant Mathias Ezeaku after he denounced Christianity, burnt the Bible, and promoted religious intolerance.

The aspirant, a traditional African religion worshiper, defended his burning of the Bible, arguing that even Christians also burn oracles and shrines which are part of other people's faith because they believe the oracles are evil.
