FDA action in public interest: SC scraps Rs 5 lakh compensation to Pune shop order
The Supreme Court set aside the Bombay High Court's direction to pay ₹5 lakh to Gurunanak Dairy & Sweets. It said the Maharashtra FDA's action followed a food poisoning complaint and was taken in the interest of public health.
