FIFA has granted Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, a spot to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States after winning the MLS Supporters' Shield. The tournament will feature 32 top clubs from around the world and will take place from June 15 to July 13.

Inter Miami's involvement in the Club World Cup is solely down to the fact they have Lionel Messi in their squad and the tournament is a vanity project for FIFA chief Gianni Infantino
