Indian sprinting witnessed history in Ranchi as Gurindervir Singh shattered the men’s 100m national record twice in two days. The Punjab sprinter became the first Indian ever to breach the 10.10-second barrier during a sensational Federation Cup showdown with Animesh Kujur.

Gurindervir Singh won the men's 100m final in Ranchi with a national record 10.09 seconds. The run made him the first Indian under 10.10 seconds and secured major Games qualification.
