A fire on Friday night at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the medical college in Jhansi claimed the lives of 10 newborns, many of them born prematurely. The fire though doused, the air still hung heavy with sorrow.

When the fire engulfed the neonatal ICU at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College in UP's Jhansi on Friday, Yakoob Mansuri, a young man, braved the flames to rescue 6-7 infants. But, he was unable to save his twin daughters.
