At least 14 people have been killed after a Russian drone targeted a platform at the Dnipro railway station, where a train was parked, Ukrainian authorities have said.

The strike came as Ukraine and Russia strive to uphold a fragile local ceasefire in the ravaged city of Oleshky - under Russian occupation since 2022 and where residents have faced months of food, water and medicine shortages.

A jet-powered drone struck a crowded train platform at a civilian station in Dnipro, killing and injuring passengers who were waiting to board. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy called the attack "horrific."
