As the projections for the US Presidential elections indicate a win for Republican candidate Donald Trump, the people of Kamala Harris' ancestral Thulasendrapuram village in Tamil Nadu expressed their disappointment.

As millions of Americans gear up to cast ballots in U.S. elections, Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, has people rooting for her from thousands of miles away in a tiny south Indian village.

Although Kamala Harris has been defeated by Donald Trump in the US presidential election, she will make a comeback as she is a fighter, said residents of Thulasendrapuram, the village of her maternal ancestors, on Wednesday.

Locals in the village of Thulasendrapuram in Tamil Nadu have put up banners cheering on the Democratic presidential nominee.
