Amid the leadership dispute in the Senate, Sen. Joel Villanueva yesterday vowed to attend a special session if called by President Marcos, to address issues such as disaster relief for Mindanao and the stalled promotion of military officers.

Sen. Joel Villanueva committed to attending a possible special session of Congress, saying lawmakers should focus on addressing urgent national concerns instead of taking sides in the ongoing Senate leadership dispute.
