Former House of Representatives member, Herman Hembe, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State after defeating two other aspirants in the party's primary election.

Accord's National Deputy Secretary announced Mr Hamzat as the authentic candidate in a video posted on X after the conclusion of the party’s governorship primary.
