Australian officials say the Bondi Beach gunmen carried bombs, ISIS flags and had recently traveled to the Philippines, confirming the massacre was ISIS-inspired.

Telangana police report Sajid, 50, and his son Naveed, 24, were ISIS-inspired. Sajid, an Indian passport holder, had limited contact with his Hyderabad family, who were unaware of his radical mindset.

Sajid Akram, a gunman in the Bondi Beach shooting, had minimal contact with his Hyderabad family, who disowned him after his marriage. The family denies knowledge of his radicalisation, which investigators believe is unrelated to Indian influences.
