April 19 (UPI) -- A 44-year-old Los Angeles area woman is in custody on charges of trafficking arms on behalf of the Iranian government, federal prosecutors said Sunday.

Shamim Mafi, 44, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday night for allegedly trafficking deadly drones and bombs for Tehran.

Prosecutors also accused Shamim Mafi of facilitating deals involving Iranian-made weapons, including drones, bomb fuses and millions of rounds of ammunition destined for Sudan.
