Utah prosecutors have formally charged the suspect in conservative activist Charlie Kirk's killing with aggravated murder and intend to seek the death penalty if he is convicted.

Utah County's district attorney has announced seven counts, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice for disposing of evidence, and witness tampering.

In the indictment, prosecutors claim Tyler Robinson planned Kirk’s killing in advance, citing rooftop surveillance, engraved bullets, and a written note as they seek the death penalty.
