Israel has announced that it had received hostage remains found in Gaza from the Red Cross, which were being transported to the morgue for identification.

Israel on Wednesday said it will start letting Palestinians leave Gaza through a reopened border crossing, complying with a US-backed ceasefire deal.

Israel had agreed to open the Rafah crossing as part of the October cease-fire deal with Hamas but kept it closed. Egypt denied that the border would reopen soon.
