June 2 (UPI) -- Israel and Hezbollah continued to exchange fire on Tuesday, a day after U.S. President Donald Trump intervened to broker a partial cease-fire he said both sides had signed onto.

June 1 (UPI) -- Iran has stopped peace negotiations with the United States as it alleges the terms of its cease-fire agreement have been violated, Iran state media reported Monday.

Donald Trump said he had spoken to Benjamin Netanyahu and indirectly to Hezbollah after Israel intensified strikes in Lebanon. The exchange came as the Beirut attack threatened Iran-US talks and renewed scrutiny of Netanyahu’s reliance on military force.
