Sept. 17 (UPI) -- A man is in custody after what the FBI described as a "targeted attack" and an "act of terror" after he ran his car into the front of the agency's field office in Pittsburgh.

A man drove a car into a metal gate at the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office early Wednesday in what authorities described as an intentional "act of terror."

FBI spokesperson confirms suspect in custody after targeted attack on Pittsburgh FBI building, no explosives found.

A driver rammed into the entrance of the compound and draped an American flag on the gate before fleeing. Officials made an arrest after an hourslong search.
