Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has lost a bid to serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest instead of in jail.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court has dismissed former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s application to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.

The royal addendum order for Najib to serve house arrest is not valid because it was not deliberated on at the Pardons Board meeting in January last year, the judge ruled.
