Chandigarh: Hours after being unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party leader, outgoing Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini,

Hours before the ceremony, Saini visited the Valmiki Bhawan and offered prayers at a gurdwara and the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula.

Nayab Singh Saini will take oath as Haryana Chief Minister for the second time today. The swearing in ceremony wil be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other top BJP leaders.

Earlier today, Nayab Singh Saini was unanimously elected as leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislature Party. In recently concluded Haryana assembly elections, BJP defied exit polls and won 49 seats, its ever-best tally in Haryana.

Nayab Singh Saini had replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as the chief minister of Haryana in March. Saini, an OBC face of the party, had won the Ladwa seat in Kurukshetra district.

Haryana Chief Minister designate Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday offered prayers at Valmiki Temple in Panchula on the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti ahead of his oath-taking ceremony.

Along with Saini, members of the Haryana cabinet will also take oath today. As per ABP News sources, apart from Nayab Singh Saini, 12 MLAs are likely to take oath as ministers. 

Nayab Saini oath ceremony: Besides PM Modi and Amit Shah, several Union ministers including Rajnath Singh and JP Nadda, chief ministers of many states also attended the oath-taking event amid tight security.
