The state’s highest turnout was in 1995, when 71.6 per cent of voters cast their ballots, while the lowest was in 1980, at 53.3 per cent. 

Exit Polls: Most exit polls also predicted that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) would put up a strong show in polls but is unlikely to cross the majority mark in the 288-member assembly.

The Matrize survey has predicted that the BJP-led alliance will bag 42-47 seats, while the INDIA bloc will likely win 25-30 seats. Results will be announced on November 23.
