Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Actor-filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found stabbed to death at their Los Angeles home on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

The son of Rob and Michele Reiner was arrested after the Hollywood director and his wife were found dead in Los Angeles. Authorities were probing an "apparent homicide."

Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their home on December 14. Police are still investigating the apparent homicide despite reports.

The film community in Los Angeles is in shock following the death of the legendary director.

The couple reportedly suffered injuries consistent with a knife attack, and according to the LA Times, a family member has since been interviewed in connection with their deaths.

Two people found dead at a Los Angeles home owned by Rob Reiner and his wife. Officials have not confirmed identities.

The police said they were seeking to interview "every family member" of the actor-director and his wife Michele Singer Reiner after their bodies were discovered in their home.
