Ahead of the Supreme Court hearing related to the suo motu cognisance of the Twisha death case, forensic experts gathered crucial evidence from her matrimonial house.

The Supreme Court said an independent agency should investigate Twisha Sharma's death and backed the Madhya Pradesh government's move for a CBI probe. The court cited concerns over alleged institutional bias and urged both sides and the media not to make statements that could affect the investigation.

Twisha Sharma’s funeral was held in Bhopal after a High Court-ordered second autopsy. Her final rites performed, 12 days after her death at her matrimonial home in Bhopal.

Twisha Sharma's mother, Rekha, was engulfed in grief and struggled to give farewell to her daughter. Twisha's relatives and family members all broke down during her last rites.

Twisha Sharma death case: The Madhya Pradesh government informed a bench led by CJI Surya Kant that the probe would be handed over to the CBI. This comes amid mounting controversy surrounding the death of Twisha Sharma, who was found hanging on May 12 at her matrimonial home in Bhopal.

AIIMS Delhi doctors completed Twisha Sharma's second post-mortem in Bhopal on Sunday. The report will take time as histopathology and viscera tests are still pending.

The police investigating the Twisha Sharma death case are now searching for the mobile phone allegedly used by main accused Samarth Singh while he was absconding for 10 days.
