A section of Kolkata’s Chorbagan Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal collapsed amid crowd pressure on Saptami evening, reportedly triggering a stampede-like situation. Several people were injured and taken to Calcutta Medical College Hospital for treatment.

The injured were taken to Calcutta Medical College Hospital. Police reinforcements, fire brigade personnel, the Disaster Management Group and ambulances with medical teams were deployed.

The Chorebagan pandal incident prompted the police to stop visitors from entering the pandal. Those injured in the incident were rushed to the Kolkata Medical College and Hospital.
