Aug. 19 (UPI) -- The United Arab Emirates announced it was indefinitely severing trade relations with Iran on Wednesday after accusing Tehran of firing two ballistic missiles at it.

The United Arab Emirates' defence ministry has said that it had ⁠detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran, the first such incident reported since a 4 May strike on the Fujairah port.

The United Arab Emirates said its air defences detected "two ballistic missiles launched from Iran", both of which fell into the sea.
