The suspect accused of a foiled plot to attack one of Taylor Swift's concerts in Vienna, Austria, in August 2024 pleaded guilty on Tuesday as his trial began.

A 21-year-old man has gone on trial in Austria over a plot to attack a Taylor Swift concert, which led to shows by the US megastar in the Alpine nation to be scrapped in 2024.

Prosectuors say the man, 21-year-old Beran A., received training from members of jihadist group Islamic State on how to handle explosives.

The state prosecutor told the court that police found an almost completed bomb in a search of the man's house.
