A federal judge in Boston has temporarily blocked US President Donald Trump from barring US entry of foreign nationals seeking to study or participate in exchange programmes at Harvard University.

June 6 (UPI) -- A federal judge temporarily paused President Donald Trump's ban on foreign nationals coming to study, teach, or do research at Harvard University, pending a hearing later in June.

This is the latest attack by the administration against the nation’s oldest and wealthiest university. However, it responded swiftly by filing a lawsuit.

“Harvard's more than 7,000 F-1 and J-1 visa holders - and their dependents - have become pawns in the government's escalating campaign of retaliation,” Harvard wrote Thursday in a court filing
