The European Union has offered to deepen cooperation with Serbia after the “Student List” won the parliamentary elections, pledging support for reforms to strengthen the rule of law, media freedom and democratic institutions and fight corruption, DPA reported. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa congratulated the “Student List” on its victory and expressed their readiness to help Serbia advance toward EU membership.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev congratulated Serbian citizens on their participation in the democratic process and the “Student List” on its election victory. In a post on X, Radev highlighted the close ties between the two countries.

Former President Aleksandar Vucic, who dominated Serbian politics for the past 14 years, conceded defeat in the country's parliamentary elections after polls closed on October 25. Preliminary results showed the movement called Students' List taking a decisive lead.
