Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Rahul Gandhi and the Congress of insulting the Sikh community over Gandhi’s “traitor” remark against BJP MP Ravinder Singh Bittu, triggering political uproar in Parliament. Replying to the President’s Address in the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi also attacked the Congress, Trinamool Congress, and other Opposition parties over corruption, governance failures, and illegal immigration.

Rahul Gandhi hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his Rajya Sabha speech, questioning whether the Prime Minister was “panicked by questions”. Modi, in turn, strongly criticised the Congress over its remarks on Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and accused the party of divisive politics and policy failures.

Priyanka Gandhi’s remarks came after Union Minister JP Nadda, speaking in the Rajya Sabha, described Rahul Gandhi as “naive.” She said the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha should be allowed to speak freely.

The Prime Minister made these remarks while responding to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address.
