April 18 (UPI) -- Pope Leo XIV said he has no interest in debating President Donald Trump as he flew to Angola for the third leg of his 11-day trip to Africa.

The pontiff says his remarks have been misinterpreted after a spat with the US president.

An example was a speech about "tyrants" ransacking the world that he delivered in Cameroon on the second leg of a tour of Africa, said Pope Leo.
