An attacker opened fire near a high school in western Turkey, wounding at least 11 people.

An attacker opened fire near a high school in western Turkey on Tuesday and wounded at least 11 people, officials said. The suspected shooter was arrested.

Two of the wounded were in a critical condition and the assailant was caught. Read more at straitstimes.com.

The shooter, a pupil, allegedly took a rifle and shot indiscriminately at his schoolmates in front of their high school. Turkey was shocked by two back-to-back school shootings earlier this year.
