As the counting for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections is underway, the BJP and Shiv Sena led Mahayuti alliance leads in almost 52 seats and Shiv Sena (UBT) leads in only 22 seats in early trends of the postal ballot counting.      

In Nagpur, in the 151-member civic body, the BJP was leading with 102 seats and was set to win a clear majority. Congress finished second with 33 seats. In Solapur, the BJP registered a sweeping victory in the 102-member corporation, winning 87 seats.
