In a precautionary advisory, the US Embassy urged citizens in Dhaka to exercise caution as large gatherings are expected during Sharif Osman Hadi’s funeral.

Hadi, the convenor of Inqilab Moncho, was shot at close range on December 12 while travelling in a rickshaw in Bijoynagar. 

The Bangladeshi activist was shot on the streets of Dhaka on Dec 12 and died six days later in a Singapore hospital.
