Omar on Monday evening posted a letter on X sent by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inviting him to take oath on October 16

The stage is set for Omar Abdullah to take oath as the first chief minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir following the victory of his National Conference in the maiden assembly election after the abrogation of Article 370.

Omar, along with his Council of Ministers, will be administered the oath of office by LG Manoj Sinha at 11:30 a.m. on October 16 tomorrow

Out of the four seats, the NC is likely to send two leaders, including Farooq Abdullah to the upper house. The party is also expected to send another leader from Jammu to the Parliament. 

The three Independents also also likely to be inducted into the cabinet. Congress is also likely to get the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker's post as well. 

This will be the first official gathering after the Chief Minister's oath-taking ceremony, where all Administrative Secretaries are expected to attend

Omar Abdullah is set to be sworn in as the first chief minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, following the victory of his National Conference in the maiden assembly election after the abrogation of Article 370. The oath ceremony will take place at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) with tight security measures in place. Abdullah was unanimously elected as the leader of the NC Legislature Party and will be joined by his council of ministers, including members from the Congress, Independents, and the AAP.
