Omar Abdullah to be Sworn in as Jammu & Kashmir's First Chief Minister After Article 370 Abrogation
Omar Abdullah is set to be sworn in as the first chief minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, following the victory of his National Conference in the maiden assembly election after the abrogation of Article 370. The oath ceremony will take place at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) with tight security measures in place. Abdullah was unanimously elected as the leader of the NC Legislature Party and will be joined by his council of ministers, including members from the Congress, Independents, and the AAP.
