With Nitin Nabin taking office of the national president of BJP, many were left to wonder about his journey from party worker to national president.

BJP appointed a new national president on Tuesday, with Nitin Nabin taking oath after being elected unopposed. At 45, he has become the party’s youngest and 12th National President.

Senior Indian politician Nitin Nabin, 45, has been elected five times to the Bihar Legislative Assembly and has previously held ministerial positions in the state government. He entered politics at a young age and was first elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2006 from the Patna West constituency.

Nitin Nabin assumed charge earlier in the day at the partys headquarters in Delhi amid a grand ceremony attended by Prime Minister Modi. Meanwhile, the Central government has reportedly provided Z-category security cover to the newly appointed BJP National President. 

Speaking during a public address after taking charge, BJP’s new national president Nitin Nabin urged the youth to participate in politics, stating that staying away from politics is not the solution and that active participation is the real answer.

In a statement, BJP leader and returning officer K Laxman said 37 sets of nomination papers were filed in favour of Nabin as the BJP national president and all nomination papers were found to be valid
