Prime Minister Narendra Modi received United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Delhi airport.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today welcomed the UAE's President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Delhi and shared visuals of the gesture, where both leaders were seen hugging.

UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed’s brief India visit highlights strong bilateral ties amid West Asia tensions, Gaza peace plan developments, and recent high-level diplomatic and defence engagements between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi.

India and UAE signed a Letter of Intent during UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyans January 19 visit to establish a strategic defence partnership framework, marking a major milestone in military cooperation. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri highlighted this as central to the extremely substantive 3-hour summit with PM Narendra Modi.

UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in India on Monday on an official visit to explore new frontiers
