Unnao rape survivor said it was thought of her children that stopped her from killing herself after Delhi HC granted bail to Kuldeep Sengar.

The Delhi High Court order providing relief to Kuldeep Singh Sengar - the convict in the 2017 Unnao gangrape case -- will be challenged immediately in the Supreme Court by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

The court further directed Sengar to surrender his passport before the trial court. It warned that any violation of the bail conditions would lead to immediate cancellation of bail.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted bail to former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao rape case by suspending his sentence during the pendency of his appeal.

The survivor, who was a minor at the time of the crime in June 2017, met Gandhi a few hours after the Congress leader criticised the alleged manhandling of her by security personnel at Delhi’s India Gate, where she was protesting against Sengar’s bail. 

Delhi High Court granted bail to former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao rape case on Tuesday. Senger was convicted by a Delhi CBI court in a minors rape case and was serving a life sentence. The victim, along with her family staged protest at India Gate.
