Speaking at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, US President Donald Trump said he thinks Russia is ready to make a deal to end the war with Ukraine. RFE/RL correspondent Zoriana Stepanenko asked Trump what led to that conclusion and how Ukraine's allies might ensure that Russia does not attack again.

At the alliance summit, he also renewed claims on Greenland and demanded Washington cut trade ties with Spain.

US President Donald Trump said the Iran deal was "over" and said he'd agreed to grant Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles during a busty day -- our correspondent Zoriana Stepanenko reports from Ankara.

"It was a great meeting, there was a lot of love in that room, a lot of unity," said US President Donald Trump after earlier lashing out at NATO allies.

US President Donald Trump has also repeatedly expressed frustration with Spain after Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, a Socialist who leads a minority leftist government, refused to let the US use its airspace or bases for the Iran war.

Ahead of the summit, Trump said Greenland “is very important” for the US but not for Denmark, declaring: “We need it for protection of the world, not just the United States.”
