2022 World Cup playoff: Nigeria's Sports Minister Sunday Dare 'talks tough' ahead of Ghana clash 

Nigeria's Sports Minister Sunday Dare has urged the Super Eagles team to beat their Ghanaian counterparts in the 2022 World Cup playoff.

Nigeria and Ghana battle for one of the five tickets to represent Africa at the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

A star-studded Super Eagles team are tipped as favorites for the encounter at the feared Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The stakes are high for the two West African rivals ahead of the must-win game that will secure qualification to the global showpiece in Qatar in November this year.

Nigeria excelled in the group stage of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, recording a perfect record against Egypt, Guinea-Bissau and Sudan,

However, their counterpart flattered to deceive after recording their worst-ever record at the continental showpiece.

The Black Stars exited the group stage without a win after defeat to Morocco and minnows Comoros as well as a draw against Gabon.

Ahead of the big game, Nigeria's Sports Minister is confident the Super Eagles will come out victorious in the game against Ghana in the two-leg encounter.

He has charged the team to beat the Black Stars both home and away to secure qualification.

“We [Nigeria] are not going to Ghana to draw. We are going to beat the sh*t out of them,” he said on Wednesday." Sunday Dare said as quoted by Joy News.

“Super Eagles should just go all out. There is insurance for their legs now,”

The Super Eagles have arrived in Kumasi for the game and will train at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
