A six-year-old boy who died in hospital yesterday from injuries he suffered in an arson attack in Waterford city last month has been described as "a precious little boy".

One of the two children who were critically injured in an arson attack on their home in Waterford city last month, in which four other members of their family were killed, has died in hospital.

The death of Elliot English occurred three weeks after an arson attack at his home claimed the lives of his parents and two siblings.

Elliot English died in hospital on Friday, more than three weeks after the fatal arson attack in Waterford City that killed his parents, Philip and Kim, and two of his siblings, Jayden and Callum. Two people have been charged in connection to the murder investigation.

Elliot English died today from his injuries at Children’s Health Ireland Crumlin.
