May 24 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump on Sunday urged his negotiators "not to rush into a deal" with Iran because "time is on our side."

In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump struck a measured but firm tone, insisting that his negotiators had been told to take their time. The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal as time is on our side

Trump claimed that US relations with Iran were becoming more professional and productive, while reiterating that Tehran must not be allowed to develop or acquire nuclear weapons.
