Two drugmakers have asked the Supreme Court to restore mail-order access to mifepristone to continue to allow women access to one ​of the most widely used abortion methods.

May 2 (UPI) -- A company that makes the abortion drug mifepristone on Saturday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to immediately pause a ruling that prevents doctors from prescribing it during telehealth visits.

The ruling, which is expected to be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, requires that mifepristone be distributed only in person and at clinics.
