Elon Musk's Fortune Reaches $400 Billion, Bloomberg Says

Elon Musk is a $400 billion man.

The 53-year-old Tesla (TSLA) CEO and serial entrepreneur has become the first person whose net worth has surpassed $400 billion, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The bulk of Musk's net worth comes from his stakes in Tesla and the privately held firms SpaceX, social media platform X, and xAI. Bloomberg said a recent insider share sale of SpaceX "boosted Musk's net worth by roughly $50 billion in one fell swoop to $439.2 billion."

Tesla shares hit an all-time high Wednesday and have risen nearly 70% this year, jumping since Election Day. Musk is an outspoken backer of Donald Trump and has seen his net worth increase by 66% since the election, the report said.

According to Forbes' Real Time Net Worth tracker, Musk is worth $369.9 billion.
