Full list of Homebase stores at risk of closure in the South West
by Molly Seaman · DevonLiveNearly 50 Homebase stores are reportedly at risk of closure, despite a rescue deal from Devon-based billionaire Chris Dawson. The Times reported on Tuesday, November 12, that all 130 branches of the DIY and garden retailer could have faced closure, with the chain expected to appoint administrators.
However, retail tycoon Chris Dawson stepped in to save Homebase, preserving over a thousand jobs. Mr Dawson's company CDS Superstores, which owns The Range and Wilko, has purchased the Homebase brand name, intellectual property, and up to 70 of its UK stores.
The stores will continue to operate under the Homebase banner but will eventually be converted into The Range stores. The Homebase brand will continue to operate online.
However, Bristol Live reports that around 2,000 workers and approximately 49 stores remain at risk.
Here is the full list of Homebase stores in the South West. It is not yet clear which ones are at risk of closure.
