Last month, the region saw a magnitude-8.8 quake that prompted tsunami warnings and advisories across much of the Pacific, including in B.C.
Small quake felt on Vancouver Island earlier Thursday
Earthquakes Canada says a 3.0-magnitude earthquake hit 16 kilometres southwest of Duncan on Vancouver Island around 5 a.m. Thursday. The quake was lightly felt in the area, according to reports.
