Bajaj Auto Limited reported total sales of 3,66,000 units in July 2025, marking a 3 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 3,54,169 units sold in July 2024. While overall numbers remained largely stable, the company witnessed divergent trends across domestic and export markets.

Export momentum drives growth

Exports surged by an impressive 28% to 1,82,857 units in July 2025, up from 1,43,172 units in the same month last year. This growth was led by robust performance in both the 2-wheeler and commercial vehicle segments. Two-wheeler exports grew 22 per cent year-on-year to 1,56,968 units, while commercial vehicle exports nearly doubled with a 79 per cent jump to 25,889 units.

Domestic market declines

Conversely, domestic sales saw a 13 per cent dip, falling to 1,83,143 units in July 2025 from 2,10,997 units in July 2024. The 2-wheeler segment experienced an 18 per cent decline in domestic sales, while commercial vehicles posted a 4 per cent growth.

Year-to-date snapshot

For the April to July 2025 period, Bajaj Auto recorded total sales of 14,77,237 units, a marginal 1% increase over 14,56,225 units sold during the same period in 2024. Notably, exports during the four-month window rose 19 per cent to 6,59,286 units, while domestic sales dropped 9 per cent to 8,17,951 units.

Despite domestic headwinds, the company’s performance in international markets has helped sustain overall volumes. The strong uptick in commercial vehicle exports highlights the company's growing footprint in emerging export markets.
