Royal Enfield clocks over 1.13 lakh motorcycle sales in April
Royal Enfield reported 31 per cent growth in April 2026 sales at 1,13,164 units, driven by strong domestic demand, new launches, and continued momentum across its mid-size motorcycle portfolio.
by Saumya Shubham Jha · India TodayRoyal Enfield began FY2027 on a strong note, reporting total sales of 1,13,164 motorcycles in April 2026, registering a 31 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 86,559 units sold in the same month last year.
The company’s domestic business remained the primary growth driver, with sales rising 37 per cent to 1,04,129 units during the month, up from 76,002 units in April 2025. However, exports declined 14 per cent year-on-year to 9,035 units against 10,557 units shipped during the corresponding period last year.
Segment-wise, motorcycles powered by engines up to 350cc continued to contribute the bulk of volumes. Sales in this category stood at 99,703 units, marking a 34 per cent increase over 74,282 units sold in April 2025. Models above 350cc recorded sales of 13,461 units, growing 10 per cent year-on-year.
Commenting on the company’s performance, B. Govindarajan said the company has entered the new financial year with strong momentum and an aggressive pipeline of new products and initiatives. He also highlighted the launch of the Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycle and the brand’s recognition by Brand Finance as the world’s third strongest automobile brand as key milestones during the month.
During April, Royal Enfield officially introduced the Flying Flea C6 under its new electric mobility brand, Flying Flea, with the first retail outlet opened in Bengaluru. The company also expanded the Hunter 350 lineup with new variants and colour options aimed at strengthening its urban-focused appeal.
The company further announced the inaugural Himalayan Base Camp – Ladakh Edition, scheduled for September 2026, while also highlighting the growing global popularity of the Himalayan 450, which has emerged as the best-selling adventure motorcycle in its segment in markets such as India and Brazil.
