Union Budget 2026: Centre To Launch INR 10K Cr Fund For SMEs

- Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed an INR 10,000 fund for small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
- The FM also announced that the Centre will top up the Self-Reliant India (SRI) Fund, launched in 2021, with INR 2,000 Cr to continue to support MSMEs
- Sitharman also said that the Centre will facilitate institutions such as ICAI, ICSI, and ICMAI to design short-term courses and practical tools to develop ‘Corporate Mitras’
