Toronto, GTA gas prices increasing 5 cents Wednesday, highest since 2022

by · CityNews

Drivers across the Toronto region will face another jump at the pumps on Wednesday, as gas prices rise 5 cents to 190.9 cents a litre at most stations.

The increase pushes prices to their highest level in nearly four years, surpassing the peaks seen amid global energy volatility in July 2022.

The latest hike continues a steady upward trend that has defined the spring fuel market. Gas prices have climbed sharply since late April, with multiple daily increases of three to seven cents as global supply pressures and refining costs continue to squeeze consumers.
