Sub 4m SUV Sales Nov 2025 – Nexon, Punch, Fronx, Brezza, Sonet, Venue, XUV3XO, Exter
by Pearl Daniels · RushLaneIndia’s sub-compact SUV segment (3.8–4 metre) delivered a solid year-on-year performance in November 2025, even as month-on-month volumes saw a marginal dip. Total segment sales stood at 1,21,314 units, registering a growth of 20.46 percent over November 2024, when 1,00,705 units were sold. Compared to October 2025, however, volumes declined by 3.38 percent, reflecting some demand moderation after festive-season highs.
Tata Nexon and Punch Continue to Dominate
Tata Motors retained its leadership position in the segment, led by Nexon and Nexon EV with sales of 22,434 units. This marked a strong 46.35 percent YoY growth, highlighting Nexon’s sustained popularity across ICE and EV powertrains. On a MoM basis, Nexon volumes were largely stable, growing by 1.59 percent.
Tata Punch and Punch EV also continued their strong run, clocking 18,753 units. The model posted a healthy 21.50 percent YoY growth and a notable 11.56 percent MoM increase, making it one of the few high-volume models to grow sequentially in November.
Maruti and Hyundai Show Mixed Trends
Maruti Fronx recorded sales of 15,058 units, up marginally by 1.18 percent YoY, but saw a sharp MoM decline of 11.44 percent compared to October. Maruti Brezza, on the other hand, sold 13,947 units. While this was a 6.51 percent decline YoY, Brezza posted a strong 15.53 percent MoM growth, indicating a recovery after a weaker October.
Hyundai Venue continued to be a steady performer with 11,645 units sold. It grew by 19.39 percent YoY but remained flat on a MoM basis with a slight decline of 0.79 percent. Hyundai Exter sales stood at 5,705 units, almost flat YoY and down 9.36 percent compared to October.
Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV3XO Gain Momentum YoY
Kia Sonet emerged as one of the stronger YoY gainers, recording 12,051 units in November 2025. This translated to a 30.21 percent YoY growth, although MoM sales dipped by 5.45 percent. Mahindra XUV3XO also delivered an impressive YoY performance with 10,601 units, growing by 38.47 percent. However, it saw a notable MoM decline of 13.37 percent after a strong October.
Skoda Kylaq reported sales of 3,538 units in November, while MoM sales declined. Kia Syros contributed 544 units. Toyota Taisor recorded 3,177 units, declining both YoY and MoM, while Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger continued to operate at the lower end of the segment. Magnite sales fell 18.53 percent YoY to 1,908 units, whereas Kiger stood out with a strong 47.75 percent YoY growth, albeit from a smaller base. Maruti Jimny sales remained limited at 802 units, with YoY and MoM trends remaining volatile.
